When you think of actress/author Lisa Rinna, you probably think of her lips. She calls herself “the lip pioneer” because she was known for her fuller lips long before other Hollywood starlets started copying her look on the red carpet.
Her cosmetics line recently launched including the ICON kit which is all about the lip. It comes in three different sets: “Legends Only”, “No Apologies” and “Birthday Suit”. Each set comes with a lipstick, gloss and a “Notice Me” lip liner for $45. The lipsticks and gloss can also be purchased individually.
Lisa Rinna personally had a hand in the development of every item in the ICON kit from testing the formulas, colors, textures and wearability and created them with her own personal style in mind. She wanted to create something she loved that would work for her.
I tried the Legends Only Kit. When I first looked at the colors I was a little skeptical. I didn’t think the lipstick would work for me it all. It looked too light and not a color I would normally pick for myself so I was hesitant to try it.
The gloss on the other hand was much closer to a color I might choose and since glosses can be forgiving and the color adjusted so easily I dove right in. I love the neutral color and the pretty shine. It works really well with the lipliner which is a twist up and very easy to use. I liked them so much I had to try the lipstick despite my reservations.
I was completely surprised. Rośe All Day is a lovely nude shade and the formula is smooth and light. It also works well with the liner and the gloss can be used over the top. I love the lid to this lipstick because it’s magnetic! It won’t fall off even if your lipstick ends up rolling around in the bottom of your purse or makeup bag! This is such a great trio to achieve your desired lip looks and I can’t wait to try the other colors!
Rośe All Day is a creamy peach nude color. I used it with the lipliner in the photo above. I love that it gives my lips some color but is neutral so it can go with any eye look. This satin lipstick offers long lasting color with rich hydration. It is a vegan formula that protects and moisturizes your lips.
I’m personally more of a gloss girl so I added the Dancing Queen gloss right over the top of the lipstick and liner. This gloss is a warm beige nude with a pink undertone. It is the perfect shade for everyday wear and so pretty! This is also a vegan product with high shine that glides on smoothly, moisturizes your lips and gives them a little volume. The formula is light, not heavy and super sticky like some glosses. It wears easily for hours at a time. The gloss was an instant favorite for me!
Overall, I am really loving all three products in this lip kit. They work so well together and the end result is something I would literally wear everyday. The colors are great!
