I love my iPhone. Lately I have been waking in middle of the night and not being able to go back to sleep for at least an hour (courtesy of an over due baby). I keep my phone next to the bed and read my favorite blogs or play some games until I can get back to sleep. I especially like reading because it relaxes me. A new book app called Sleeping with the Laundry: Notes from the Mommy Track is a book app for iPhone and iPad that was designed just for moms. Here is the description: “Sleeping with the Laundry is full of quick hilarious bits about parenthood- from potty training faux pas to maintaining marital romance when all you really want to do is go to sleep. It’s the first app of its kind and the fun narratives are by moms, for moms. Developed by syndicated columnist Margee Moore, Sleeping With the Laundry gives a fresh and entertaining look at life on the mommy track. These relatable stories allow moms to take a few minutes to celebrate the crazy moments of motherhood and capture the beauty and humor of everyday life.”
I like this app because while it’s considered a book app, it’s not a novel. You can read bits and pieces when you have some extra time to spare (or just can’t sleep). It’s nice to be able to relate to the material and get a good chuckle out of the things that hit home.
The download price is only $1.99. You can find more info at www.sleepingwiththelaundry.com and download a free preview chapter here.
