We spend a lot of time at sports practices. At most of them I usually have a least one child that is just hanging out waiting for their sibling. We also spend a good amount of time in the car during baseball/softball season traveling to tournaments. I like to offer interactive games so my kids aren’t immersed in a screen in their own little world — interaction, people! That being said, there are still some fun games that can be played socially on a screen. The Smartphone Trivia Dice from Continuum Games is one of them. Players can challenge each other to a round of trivia (or play solo) with questions from 6 different categories.
The thing I love about this game is that it’s stored right in your phone or screen device and only requires a single piece — the die. A player rolls the die, then scans it to receive their multiple choice trivia question. The side of the die determines the category your question comes from including Sports and Entertainment, Geography, Science or General Knowledge and more. Answer correctly and your turn continues. Answer incorrectly and pass the die to the next player. The first person to answer one question correctly in each of the six categories wins!
Another thing I love about this game is that my kids are learning new things from their incorrect answers! The game was designed for ages 9 and up and only costs $6.99. It can be played almost anywhere and even makes a fun party game with up to 100 players! It’s fun for older kids and adults alike. I actually keep the die in my car. That way we can play on road trips and have it with us at sporting events and practices. I dont carry a purse otherwise that might also be a great place for a mom to keep it! It’s perfect for battling boredom!
