Until today, I thought Snapware food storage products were plastic. While they do have a plastic versions, they also have a glass Pyrex version (BPA free!). I was so excited to find this out because I LOVE my Pyrex products. I started my Pyrex collection when I got married almost 9 years ago. I still have all of the pieces I received as gifts and they are my favorite storage options in my kitchen. I love that they can be microwaved, put in the oven or freezer and are dishwasher safe. They don’t get discolored from foods either. The 10 piece Snapware set I recently received is a little different from my other Pyrex items. This set has a different type of lid that snaps on and locks down on all 4 sides making the containers air-tight and leak-proof. 
Another thing I love about Snapware’s lids are the write-on/wipe-off area. Using a wet erase marker or a Sharpie (yes! A permanent marker!) you can write the date and the contents of the container. I wanted to test out the permanent marker theory so I wrote our last name on the lid (just in case it didn’t actually come off). I was skeptical but it really worked! I wouldn’t say it wiped right off but with just a little bit of elbow grease it erased completely. Pretty amazing!
Perfect for leftovers, potlucks or packing lunches, Pyrex Snapware gets high marks in my book. Love it!
