Squiggle On-The Go Games Keep Kids Busy In the Car
We just got back from a 5 day camping trip. The camping itself was great. Getting there was half the battle. Traveling with 3 kids can be challenging, especially when they are cooped up in the car for hours at a time. I knew that to be able to survive the trip, we’d need distractions, and plenty of them. Since each of our children have different interests, we had to branch out and find different things that would keep each of them occupied. My oldest daughter loves anything that involves a pen and paper. While coloring with crayons wasn’t very ideal for the car, a Squiggle Doodle Pad was!
The original Squiggle Doodle pads were based on the simple concept of turning a squiggly line into a picture. Even my son who isn’t nearly as drawn to art as my daughter could have fun with this one. This time though, we had Squiggle Spin and Seek, a fun hidden object game. A small tablet of 100 different pages is attached to small board with a spinner. Objects are hidden within thousands of squiggly lines on each page. To play, find the hidden objects the spinner lands on. My daughter was drawn to the girlyness of the BFF themed game and it kept her busy for quite awhile. She did several pages then turned over the pages she had completed to draw her own pictures on. She played this both on the trip down and the trip home. It was well worth the $5.99 price tag. In fact, I wish we would have picked one up for the other two because I think they would have enjoyed it as well.
