I’ve been looking for the perfect beverage dispenser for awhile now. We have large family gatherings and sometimes like to entertain with barbecues or football parties. I wanted a large dispenser that looked pretty, was well made and versatile. The 6 quart was just what I was looking for. It’s timeless design is perfect for any type of party with it’s pretty handblown, hand cut etched glass, silver tap and silver metal base stand. I love that it comes with a removable, perforated glass infuser. You can use this insert to hold ice or fill with fruit or herbs to infuse your beverage and add flavor. The glass lid works with or without the insert!
On the last day of school I filled the insert with sliced strawberries and the dispenser with lemonade. I set up a fun-filled water themed activity outside complete with sprinkler, slip n’ slide, water balloons and water guns. My kids LOVED helping themselves to their “special” refreshing beverage throughout the day!
I got to thinking, I’d like something like that too! I love sweet tea and thought it would be fun to infuse it with some fruit. Rather than making sun tea, I used my Instapot and it came out delicious! Here’s the recipe:
8 Cups water
4 Pitcher sized tea bags tied together with paper tags removed
1 Cup sugar
1 Pinch of baking soda
2 Nectarines sliced
Add all ingredients to the Instapot. Set lid to sealing. Set to high pressure for 4 minutes and then do a quick release.
Strain fruit out and add 8 cups of cold water. Your tea will still be warm but it’s pretty concentrated so you can enjoy over ice right away.
