Even though I am a female, raising my daughter is going to be more challenging than raising my son. I’m not sure if it’s because she’s just like me and hard-headed or if it’s the estrogen in her blood. Whatever the case may be, The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Raising Girlsgives a positive look at raising daughters and was refreshing to read to help ease the overwhelming feeling I receive thinking about raising my daughter at times.
The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Raising Girls takes readers from the birth of their daughters to the day they head off to college. There is solid parenting advice for every stage. I liked that it showed milestones during each stage. It’s always nice to know that your child is meeting and/or exceeding each milestone.
The author team includes a pediatrician, teacher, and health writer, all of whom have daughters themselves. That’s always nice to know that there is great experience amongst the writers.
You can find The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Raising Girls for around $11-$12 at Amazon.

That is so funny. Though mine are 19 and 16 now, the daughter being the youngest, I found my son to be the most challenging to raise, I guess it may be because I just don’t understand the male mentality and why they do such stupid stuff!:) I need the book for raising boys- well, guess make that “needed” since he’s 19 now!
