“According to U.S. Census Bureau statistics, the average American consumes an astounding 24.3 pounds of candy per year.” Ouch! I admit that I love my sugar. I am a sugar junkie if I wouldn’t gain 20 lbs. With Halloween next weekend, I am scared of all of the candy my children will be receiving. Why not try another alternative? We have been introduced to Tiger’s Milk.
Tiger’s Milk bars are an excellent source of protein and are an alternative to candy this year. Tiger’s Milk has around since the 1960’s as America’s original nutrition bar. They are available in Peanut Butter, Peanut Butter & Honey and Peanut Butter Crunch. Each Tiger’s Milk bar is loaded with 16 vitamins and minerals and contains up to 10 grams of protein, all with zero grams of trans fat.
To be honest, when I found out these were nutrition bars, I was going to let my husband be the judge of these. Protein bars are not very tasty in my opinion. These are not bad and I have to say that my kids ate them right up! I would never think to give my kids a protein bar, but it actually makes good sense since they don’t like to eat meat that often. They have some chocolately goodness to them and my son now asks for them by saying, “Tiger.” So cute. Consider giving Tiger’s Milk bars away as a healthy alternative this Halloween.
