Our family only makes it to the zoo once a year. We love visiting the animals and learning more about them. During the year we get our animal fix by reading books and watching videos about different species. One of our new favorite books is Zoo 3D: An Incredible Animal Adventure by David E. Klutho from the editors of TIME For Kids Magazine. Filled with photos of everything from big cats to creatures that fly, swim, slither and more, Zoo 3D Awesome Animal Kingdom brings nearly 100 photos to life with 3D technology. The book comes with two pairs of viewing glasses that instantly transform the book’s images into animals so life-like you’ll feel as if you can reach out and touch them. Take a walk on the wild side and learn facts about the animals such as:
- Why flamingos often stand on one leg
- What the difference is between alligators and crocodiles
- Why a group of rhinoceroses is called a crash
- And much more!
Zoo 3D follows the success of Sports Illustrated Kids 3D SPORTS BLAST and is sure to be a hit with animal lovers young and old. It retails for around $15 and would make a unique gift this holiday season.
My kids weren’t the only ones who were amazed with this book. I couldn’t believe how the images just popped right out from the pages. The fur of some of the animals looked soft enough to run your fingers through and their eyes were full of life. Seriously, if you can’t get to the zoo, this book is the next best thing.
