Ouch! Only down .4 this week. I am sloooowwwly getting there. Considering I am almost to my original goal, I feel happy, but I really don’t want to stop there. I want to lose 5 more on top of my first ultimate goal. I am hoping to do it before the hubs heads home.
On a side note, do you calculate your BMI (Body Mass Index)? If you don’t or haven’t in a really long time, I suggest that you do so. It can either make you feel really good or give you a rude awakening. Here is a site that can help you determine yours: http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/bmicalc.htm. Did you know that 36.6% of Americans are overweight and 26.5% are obese? That is 62.1% of Americans!!! Those are alarming facts. Now do you want to calculate your BMI?
My progress:
Length of Time: 34 weeks
Pounds Lost: 48.8
Pounds Left to Lose: 1.2
So, how did you do this week? Follow my weight loss (or gain) journey with the past Weigh Me Wednesday posts and keep me updated on your progress!
Ouch, only down 4! Girl, that is TERRIFIC and I’m not sorry for the caps. Way to go. Slow and steady wins the race. Good job.
Thanks, Mary! That’s POINT 4 though haha. If I were down 4 pounds in 1 week, I’d be screaming from the rooftop haha. 😉
BMI can be misleading to some folks, but is generally a good measuring stick. However, if you want a more accurate look at your “standing” in addition to your weight, try and get a good measure of your body fat percentage. Scales do this poorly, but at least you can track over a long period if it goes up or down. I’ve actually used Wii Fit to get my BMI, but don’t take it seriously and generally use the mirror as a good progress tool.
Good work, BTW. I know how hard it can be to get started with losing weight, but I feel it’s even harder to keep yourself there once you reach your goal.
