Mindy’s take:

I got to try the Cupcake Decorating Kit and the Stamped Cookie Cutters.  I love when fall begins and I get to bake.  I love to be able to teach my almost 4 year old how to decorate and I think it is something special we get to do together.  I haven’t had a chance to use the Cupcake Decorating Kit yet due to lack of time around here lately for baking, but I opened the box to examine the materials and I think they are just great!  They will make any cupcake so festive and I already have plans to make cupcakes for my daughter’s class.  The kids will go nuts!  I did use the Stamped Cookie Cutters though and absolutely love them!  I think my kids thought they were toys though.  They are great because there is (for lack of better words) a stamp on the back of the cookie cutter where you are able to use your hand and press the cookie cutter down into the dough.  They are effortless and much easier to push through the dough than the “standard” cookie cutters I own.  I love the different figures and my kids were thoroughly impressed as well (even though the cookies didn’t stand a chance)!! 

Holly’s take:

I was able to try the Pumpkin Carving Set and Battery Operated Pumpkin Lights.  Fall has arrived and with it, pumpkin season!  Each year I look forward to selecting the perfect pumpkins with my kids and then carving them into something cool.  And every year we get home with our pumpkins and I realize my kitchen knifes aren’t really the right tool for the job.  I’ve tried plastic pumpkin carving sets and while inexpensive, they are virtually disposable.  A nice stainless steel set from Williams Sonoma will last year after year and help us perfect our pumpkin carving techniques.  The set includes 4 classic tools:

Each year I also worry that leaving a candle burning in our jack o lanterns on the front porch will burn our house down.  I don’t know why I haven’t switched to a battery operated light. This year, I’m making the switch with Battery Operated Pumpkin Lights with remote from Williams Sonoma.  Pumpkins lights with a remote?  How cool is that?  You can even change the brightness of these lights and set them to continuous glow or flicker for just the right effect and you won’t have to worry about them accidentally getting blown out.
