Yoomi Self-Warming Baby Bottle Review & Giveaway

Middle of the night feedings can be one of the toughest parts of parenting an infant.  Getting out of bed, trekking to the kitchen and prepping abottle while your baby cries several times a night is exhausting.  Yoomi Self-Heating Bottles eliminates the trip to the kitchen and cuts down the time it takes to complete a feeding.  The charging base is prepared by boiling it for 25 minutes, then letting it cool until it’s ready to be used.  When feeding time arrives, just assemble the bottle, press the orange button and wait for 60 seconds.  The bottle will be warmed to the perfect temperature.  Yoomi bottles are also perfect for on-the-go.  With Yoomi, baby’s bottle is always only a minute away.  A 5 oz Yoomi Bottle with a charging base retails for around $33.

I breast fed all of my children so we didn’t use bottles much.  My youngest is almost 10 months.  She weaned herself about two months ago so we’ve been using bottles more with her than we have with any of our other children.  Because of her age though, we are already starting the transition from bottle to cup and warm bottles to cold in preparation for cows milk.  Parker still won’t take her bottle cold straight from the fridge though so I was able to try the Yoomi with her.  I boiled the warming unit for 25 minutes this morning while we were eating breakfast and getting dressed. When it was done I just turned off the stove and let it sit there until lunch.  Then I prepped a Yoomi bottle and put in the fridge.  When Parker was ready for her afternoon bottle I just pulled the bottle from the fridge, pushed the button and turned it upside down for thirty seconds.  I had a bit of a hard time with the button.  I couldn’t tell at first if it was working or not but when I tested the milk, it wasn’t cold.  Parker drank down the whole bottle.

Yoomi a really neat concept. It reminds me of those hand warmer packets you can use while skiing that heat up when you flex the little metal button inside. Those are also reset by boiling.  I’m not sure if Yoomi uses that same technology but I think the whole idea is brilliant and could be a big help for a lot of parents.

Yoomi bottles would be perfect for on-the-go feedings, middle of the night feedings or any feeding for that matter!  To make things more efficient I’d recommend having a day’s worth of Yoomi bottles and prepping them all at once.  Then you could just grab one from the fridge whenever you need one and baby will be happily eating in less than a minute!
