During the day it seems like I have a million things going on and my brain is in high gear trying to keep everything in order and not forget anything. It’s super hard to shut off when bedtime finally arrives. I tend to stay up pretty late so I can get some quiet time to work after everyone else has gone to bed. When I crawl into bed sometime after midnight I often lay there, restless because I can’t stop thinking about my to-do list. When I heard about ZzzQuil ZzzPads Scented Sleep-Aid, I was curious. I figured it was worth a shot — it couldn’t hurt, right?
ZzzQuil Zzz Pads are inserted into a portable and compact plug-in device. It gradually releases the aroma of lavender and chamomile which promote relaxation and a better sleep environment. What I love about this is that it’s a non-medicated sleep-aid so I don’t have to worry about any lingering grogginess in the morning. I actually plugged this into an outlet next to where I work late at night. It smells great and does help me relax and wind down. It doesn’t put me straight to sleep though, which is a good thing because I want to go to bed when I’m ready, not when I’m forced to because I can’t keep my eyes open!
Lavender has been known to decrease heart rate and blood pressure so you feel more relaxed. Studies have also shown that lavender my positively impact your dreams! The plug-in is adjustable so you can pick the level of fragrance you like. Insert 1-2 scent pads then slide the lever to one of three levels to adjust how much scent is released. The scent pads offer up to 8 hours of aromatherapy relief. I can just unplug the unit and take it to bed with me, plugging it in the outlet next to our bed. I love how portable it is and it would be really nice for traveling too!
