I know when I was growing up I would feel sorry for my dad at times. He was the only man with a wife and two daughters. Not to mention, we always had female animals (we always thought they had better tempers). So, my dad was outnumbered many times! Joe Gumm, former ESPN radio sportscaster and author of 150 Secrets to a Happy Wife, can relate as he has a wife and four daughters!
I will tell a story on my dad actually. I remember he was acting up one night while we were at the movies. Long story short, my mom left him and made him walk home! Somewhere through the many miles he had to walk (it was a really long walk) and the rain that got him, he realized what he had done wrong and learned a few lessons of how to keep a happy wife himself. The book, 150 Secrets to a Happy Wife, is along the same lines. Through Joe’s humor, he describes how to keep a wife happy and maintaing a good relationship.
The book is actually great for both men and women. It could be a great way to discuss issues with your spouse and ways in which to work some things out.
