I love family movie nights, especially when the movie is funny. Our whole family really got a kick out of [amazon_link id=”B00O4ZC5A0″ target=”_blank” ]Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, NO GOOD, VERY BAD DAY[/amazon_link]. Of course kids always enjoy the type of humor when everything goes wrong but in this movie, parents can really relate to it too. The movie has one of my favorite actresses of all time, Jennifer Garner, who plays the working mom. Another great and comedic actor, Steve Carell, plays the stay at home dad.
“Disney’s heartwarming comedy will have your entire family laughing out loud. Based on the best-selling book, it follows the exploits of Alexander as he experiences the most terrible and horrible day of his young life and wonders if bad things only happen to him. But he discovers he’s not alone when his dad (Steve Carell), mom (Jennifer Garner) and family live through their own terrible – and hilarious – day. It will tickle everyone’s funny bone, and warm their hearts as they discover how even on rotten days, families can grow closer.”
And the movie really was heartwarming and offers a valuable lesson — your family is always there for you through thick and thin and that even the worst days can be turned around.
I asked my 7 year old what his favorite part of the movie was. He thought it was really funny when the baby ate a green marker during the dad’s job interview. You can see how messy the baby’s face is on the movie’s box pictured above. Funny stuff!
The movie comes out today, February 10, 2015. I highly recommend it for your next family movie night!
I loved this movie! I didnt really expect to. My fave part was the cowboy dancers at the very end. I laughed for 15 mins after the movie was over.
LOL I know! You can’t help but giggle at that!
