Welcome to the Mommies with Cents Holiday Gift Guide 2018! Here you’ll find lots of gift suggestions, some of them based on my favorite products from past reviews, some of them new products to the market and everything in between! I know a lot of people are hard to shop for so I want to make your shopping easy this year with lots of fun and unique gift ideas! This post will be updated on an ongoing basis throughout the holiday season so be sure to check back!
GoTrax Electric Scooter— The GKS electric kids scooter is perfect for beginners and was designed for riders 5 foot tall or less. The 150 Watt motor and 25.2V Battery powers this super fun scooter on cement or paved roads for up to 4 miles per charge The solid 6″ rubber tires absorb vibrations for a smooth ride. For safety, the scooter is locked at a safe but fun 7.5 mph. Since both feet must be placed on the scooter before the motor will engage, it gives your child time to position themselves before it kicks into gear. Weighing in at just 17.8 pounds, this scooter is easier to carry and maneuver that many other scooters. I highly recommend it for any beginner or small riders! You can read my full review here.
GoTrax Mini Hoverboard — The GoTrax SRX Mini Hoverboard was designed for riders ages 5-9 and is a good starter board for beginners. It’s pretty much ready to go right out of the box. Just plug it in for a full charge first and attach the
optional wheel cover stickers if you’d like. The SRX mini features a self-balancing mode and 6.5″ inch tires making it easy to ride and quickly master. It is powered by 150 watt dual motors and a 25.2V Battery. This hoverboard is limited to 6 mph and can go up to 3 miles on a single charge. Box4Blox — This is a must-have for any Lego lover! It not only holds a LOT of bricks but it works sort of like a coin sorter sorting pieces by size. This makes it a lot easier for kids to find the parts they are looking for when constructing their masterpieces. A unique and useful gift that moms and kids will appreciate! Read my full review here.
LED Colorful Flashing Finger Lighting Gloves — These gloves are SO fun and make a great gift or stocking stuffer. The feature 6 different modes with 7 colors of LED lighting. Change between colors and modes like “flashing” by pressing the button on the wrist. The gloves are powered by 4 CR2032 batteries which are included and also replaceable!
Play Impossible Game Ball — My kids got one of these last year and it is SO fun! It’s something that can be played with as a family and will get a lot of use. The ball is available in green or purple and comes with seven free games that encourage physical play, hand-eye coordination, agility and creative thinking. It connects to your device via bluetooth and can be recharged for an hour of play in just 20 seconds with the included battery operated rapid charger.
Gramma in a Box — For a gift that keeps on giving, try a Gramma in a Box subscription! My girls LOVE these! Each month, “Grandma Terry” sends a kit complete will all the ingredients needed to make two candy crafts plus cooking decorating supplies. Each month is a new and fun theme. Comfy Kids — Last year my older two kids got a Comfy, a super soft and warm oversized snuggly hoodie. Originally these only came in one size. The sleeves have elastic cuffs so the sleeves won’t hang over your hands if you are on the smaller size. My youngest is 9 but she’s pretty small for her age. The regular size Comfy goes all the way to the floor on her. She was so disappointed that she didn’t get one of her own. There’s good news though! They now make Comfy Kids, a smaller sized version available in pink or navy blue. They’re designed for kids ages 5-10 years old and perfect for camping trips, sleepovers, and just general relaxing at home! The outside is a luxurious fleece microfiber while the inside is a thick and fluffy premium sherpa. Everyone needs a Comfy, even the littles!
Dollar Shave Club — If your hubby/son/nephew prefers razors, a subscription to Dollar Shave Club would be a fantastic gift! Choose from three different razors shipping monthly or every other month for a great price! A little secret — I use these razors and love them. They’re great for women too! Your first month is FREE!
Sodastream — Looking for something cool to gift your favorite guy? The Sodastream is the perfect gift! This small and sleek device doesn’t take up a lot of space but it offers a lot of value! Instant Pot — The Instant Pot was a really hot item last Christmas but if anyone missed the boat on this one, it’s still a popular choice. I use mine several times a week and it really makes my busy life easier. Consider adding some accessories or cookbooks like The Big Book of Instant Pot Recipes (review here) or I Love My Instant Pot Affordable Meals Recipe Book (review here).

Silent Beacon is a cost effective and easy to use safety device that can send alerts and call for help instantly. It’s small enough to fit in the palm of your hand and comes with a clip so it can be worn on your body. There is also a reinforced area for attaching to a keychain or lanyard.
Your Silent Beacon devices pairs with your phone via bluetooth and comes with a free app for set up. There are no additional fees. When the panic button is activated with the push of one button, a call will be placed to 911 and up to 6 additional contacts will be alerted with a text, email, and live tracking GPS location. The two-way audio will allow you to talk to emergency responders but it can also be silenced so you can call for help without tipping off those around you. Just activate the silent mode. Multi-colored LED lights and vibration will enable you to know your alert status during an emergency. This would make a great gift, especially for a woman who walks or runs alone. Pod Pocket — This sleeve designed to fit over the Apple AirPod charging case is made of high grade silicone for a secure fit and comes with a premium key ring and clasp so it can be attached to a bag or keychain, keeping it handy at all times! The sleeve is open at the bottom for access to the charging port without having to remove it. PodPockets come in a variety of colors and makes a wonderful gift for those who already own a pair of Air Pods or a great accompanying gift for those that will be receiving a pair of Air Pods this Christmas! MyCharge— Anyone that uses electronic devices could use a MyCharge product! These portable power banks come in several designs. My personal favorites are the AdventureMax which can charge 2 devices simultaneously and provide a full charge up to 6 times and the MyCharge HubXtra which has charging cables built right in and can be recharged by plugging it directly into a wall outlet! Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 2 Speakers — A cool gift for almost anyone on your list that enjoys music but especially great for a teen in my opinion! These rugged speakers are totally waterproof and portable! They offer 360 degree sound on-the-go. The Wonderboom is small enough to hang from your hip or backpack yet rocks a surprisingly big sound and features an all-new Outdoor Boost, for louder, crisper sound in an outdoor setting. Enjoy 13 hours of battery life indoors or out — it’s waterproof, dustproof, and it even floats! You can pair two speakers for louder and true stereo sound. It comes in 5 colors and retails for $99.

They come in three sizes from clip-on minis perfect for stocking stuffers to large pillow pals perfect for bedtime snuggling. Theo Chocolate — Theo Chocolate is a local Chocolatier based in Seattle. They’re something special — this is no ordinary chocolate. Now, you might find some of your favorite flavor combos but the quality and flavor will much likely be greater than what you’re used to. And if you’re looking for something unique, Theo Chocolate will not disappoint! Try the Taste of Washington Caramel Collection, Root Beer Barrel Bar, Lemon Chocolate Bar, Ginger, Cinnamon Horacha or Salted Black Licorice. 18 in 1 Snowflake Tool — This handy little tool looks like a snowflake. It’s just a little over 2″ in diameter and weighs just 2.3 ounces . Despite it’s small size, amazingly, it features 18 different tools in one. It comes with a metal ring that allows you to hang it up or attach it to something. It’s perfect to keep on your backpack, keyring or in your glove compartment in your car. It’s decorative enough to hang on your Christmas tree and makes a wonderful gift or stocking stuffer too!
