I am not a huge dessert nut, but I do have a huge weakness of cheesecake! I adore cheesecake. My mother-in-law makes sure that I have cheesecake during every holiday, which is so thoughtful of her, but that just shows you how much I do love it! I jumped at the chance to try a No-Bake Key Lime Cheesecake Bar from Plentiful Pantry, Inc. Baking isn’t my thing, so anything that has “No-Bake” and “Cheesecake” in the title definitely grabs my attention!
The first thing I groaned at was that I needed cream cheese. I didn’t have any, but this is fool proof so I didn’t groan too much. After I got the cream cheese, I made the oreo crust. The directions said to apply plastic wrap on the bottom of the pan for easy removal. This was a different technique for me. I then pushed the crust that I made (combining the cookie crumbs with butter) to the bottom of the pan. I then mixed the cream cheese and cheesecake mix. The last step is to stick it in the fridge and shortly after you have a wonderful cheesecake!
I have to admit that I was scared of trying the cheesecake because I am not a HUGE key lime fan, but it sure looked yummy. To my surprise, the No-Bake Key Lime Cheesecake Bars were WONDERFUL! I previously bought my husband a Key Lime Cheesecake from a well-known restaurant that shall remain nameless. This No-Bake option was MUCH better and I am truly impressed! The best part is that the kit only costs $8! This would be an awesome Easter addition to dessert or if you are craving cheesecake since it’s so easy to make! If I do this again though, I will leave out the plastic wrap on the bottom of the pan. It wasn’t a huge deal, but I think the cheesecake would be beautiful in the glass pan without the plastic wrap.
