The other day my family and I were over at my sister-in-laws house so our kids could play and we could hang out. Before we headed home, I figured I had better feed my daughter since it had been awhile since her last feeding. I covered myself with a blanket while she had her fill. When I was finished and removed the blanket I was shocked and embarrassed that my whole shirt was soaked! Since I had waited so long between feedings, the side that my baby was not nursing on “let down” and I didn’t know it until it was too late. Mindy and her sister call this phenomenon “jealous boobie” (which I think is too funny not to share!) It is not uncommon for this to happen but normally I notice and apply a little pressure to stop it. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice this time and the result was an uncomfortable mess. I awkwardly held the blanket in front of me as we made a hasty exit.
All of this could have been avoided had I had my Milk-saver with me! I received it a few days after the incident for my review (figures, huh?). Milkies Milk-Saver allows mothers to collect breast milk from the non-nursing side during breastfeeding. It is the only product of it’s kind. Milkies was mom invented and founded by registered nurses. Lactation consultants, midwives and OB/Gyn’s all over the world are recommending the Milk-saver to their patients.
Milkies is Environmentally conscious:
- Packaging is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council as sustainable harvested
- Milk-Savers are 100% recyclable
- Milkies products have been tested by and independent third party lab and are certified to ensure 0% leaching.
- Using a Milk-Saver keeps you from having to use disposable nursing pads (or at least cutting back on their usage)
- Using a Milk-Saver may also reduce the amount of laundry from leaked on shirts or reusable nursing pads.
I like the Milk-Saver because I hate pumping breast milk. My four month daughter has just started eating cereal and the Milk-Saver collects the perfect amount for me to mix with her cereal and eliminates the need for me to pump.
Milkies Milk-Saver comes with a hard plastic carrying case which can also be used as a stand to hold the Milk-Saver upright to eliminate spills.
The suggested retail price of a Milkies Milk-Saver is $24.95-$29.95. The Milk-Saver can be purchased directly from Milkies, Amazon.com, or find a store near you with the store locator.

What a FANTASTIC idea! I leaked ALL THE TIME from the “other” side when I nursed my son, and now with #2 coming soon, I bet it will be the same. Thanks for letting us know about this; I’d love to win! =) (I entered via the form – just wanted to comment here…)
