Over the past few months my four year old has turned into a complete Star Wars nut. It’s funny how some things never go out of style. This month General Mills is celebrating the launch of the Star Wars 3D Movie with cereals featuring collectable Star Wars pens in-pack of participating cereals.
There are 8 exclusive Star Wars pen featuring Episode 1 characters: Anakin Skywalker, Obi Wan Kenobi, Queen Amidala, Yoda, R2D2, C3PO, Jar Jar Binks and Darth Maul. You’ll find them inside Cinnamon Toast Crunch® (12.8 oz.), Lucky Charms®(11.5 oz.), Reese’s® Puffs (13 oz.), Cheerios® (14 oz.), and Cookie Crisp® (11.25 oz). My son was really excited that Yoda’s ink color was green — his favorite color.
We haven’t taken him to see it yet but you can catch Star Wars Episode I in 3D at a theater near you (watch the trailer ). Before you head out, have a good breakfast — Each Big G cereal is made with whole grain and a good source of calcium to start your day off right. I’m not much of a morning person so cereal is a staple at our house. I try to keep it as healthy as possible but we do indulge the kids with what they call “weekend cereal”. We allow them a bowl of something a little more sugary on the weekends.

My grandson loves Star Wars soooo much; it has rubbed off on me. He is 14 and has quite an extensive collection. Some of the items belong to his Dad when he was a boy. These will go to him if I’m fortunate enough to win and I’m sure he will treasure them. Thanks for the opportunity.
