Welcome to the Mommies with Cents Holiday Gift Guide 2018! Here you’ll find lots of gift suggestions, some of them based on my favorite products from past reviews, some of them new products to the market and everything in between! I know a lot of people are hard to shop for so I want to make your shopping easy this year with lots of fun and unique gift ideas! This post will be updated on an ongoing basis throughout the holiday season so be sure to check back!
GoTrax Electric Scooter— The GKS electric kids scooter is perfect for beginners and was designed for riders 5 foot tall or less. The 150 Watt motor and 25.2V Battery powers this super fun scooter on cement or paved roads for up to 4 miles per charge The solid 6″ rubber tires absorb vibrations for a smooth ride. For safety, the scooter is locked at a safe but fun 7.5 mph. Since both feet must be placed on the scooter before the motor will engage, it gives your child time to position themselves before it kicks into gear. GoTrax Mini Hoverboard — The GoTrax SRX Mini Hoverboard was designed for riders ages 5-9 and is a good starter board for beginners. It’s pretty much ready to go right out of the box. Just plug it in for a full charge first and attach the
optional wheel cover stickers if you’d like. The SRX mini features a self-balancing mode and 6.5″ inch tires making it easy to ride and quickly master. It is powered by 150 watt dual motors and a 25.2V Battery. This hoverboard is limited to 6 mph and can go up to 3 miles on a single charge. Box4Blox — This is a must-have for any Lego lover! It not only holds a LOT of bricks but it works sort of like a coin sorter sorting pieces by size. This makes it a lot easier for kids to find the parts they are looking for when constructing their masterpieces. A unique and useful gift that moms and kids will appreciate! Read my full review here.
LED Colorful Flashing Finger Lighting Gloves — These gloves are SO fun and make a great gift or stocking stuffer. The feature 6 different modes with 7 colors of LED lighting. Change between colors and modes like “flashing” by pressing the button on the wrist. The gloves are powered by 4 CR2032 batteries which are included and also replaceable!
Play Impossible Game Ball — My kids got one of these last year and it is SO fun! It’s something that can be played with as a family and will get a lot of use. The ball is available in green or purple and comes with seven free games that encourage physical play, hand-eye coordination, agility and creative thinking. It connects to your device via bluetooth and can be recharged for an hour of play in just 20 seconds with the included battery operated rapid charger.
Gramma in a Box — For a gift that keeps on giving, try a Gramma in a Box subscription! My girls LOVE these! Each month, “Grandma Terry” sends a kit complete will all the ingredients needed to make two candy crafts plus cooking decorating supplies. Each month is a new and fun theme. Comfy Kids — Last year my older two kids got a Comfy, a super soft and warm oversized snuggly hoodie. Originally these only came in one size. The sleeves have elastic cuffs so the sleeves won’t hang over your hands if you are on the smaller size. My youngest is 9 but she’s pretty small for her age. The regular size Comfy goes all the way to the floor on her. She was so disappointed that she didn’t get one of her own. There’s good news though! They now make Comfy Kids, a smaller sized version available in pink or navy blue. They’re designed for kids ages 5-10 years old and perfect for camping trips, sleepovers, and just general relaxing at home! The outside is a luxurious fleece microfiber while the inside is a thick and fluffy premium sherpa. Everyone needs a Comfy, even the littles!
My Robotic Pet Tumbling Hedgehog — Toys you have to build yourself make a really cool gift. First you get the experience of building it, then you get the experience of playing with it! The Tumbling Hedgehog kit comes with 172 building pieces that you assemble into a real robot that looks like an adorable hedgehog. The real fun begins after assembly when you can interact with your new pet. The built-in sound sensor is programed to react to different sounds. Clap once and your pet will roll into a ball and tumble backwards. Clap multiple times and the hedgehog will count those claps and match it with the number of tumbles it performs. Other reactions include rolling, spinning around, bristling it’s spines and more! The eyes light up with LED’s too! This STEM toy is designed for ages 7+. Elsewhere Map — The Elsewhere Scratch Off Map offers an interactive way to teach kids about travel, learn about where they have been, and set their sights on places they might like to go in the future. This kid-friendly map is a great way to learn about all 50 states and some of the most famous landmarks and travel destinations in the country. It comes with 32 educational learning cards, map travel stickers and a dry erase marker as well as a metal guitar pick for scratching off the silver overlay of the places that have already been visited. Crafting Cute Book — Pair this awesome book with some clay, tools and findings in a storage tub for the ultimate gift. I’m almost positive this will be my daughter’s favorite gift this Christmas — she’s going to LOVE it! I found this set on Amazon (affiliate link) that has EVERYTHING you need to go along with the book including the clay, tools, jewelry findings and the storage kit for only $22.99! It comes with a lot of different colors so you’ll have plenty to work with. The projects in the book are tiny little charms so this is a good amount of clay, especially to get started! Myla The Magical Unicorn — This colorful robotic unicorn has many fun features to keep kids dazzled and entertained. She talks and sings in 6 different activities! Touch Myla’s wand to the butterfly palette to select a color then touch the want to her eyes, wings and horn to colorfully decorate her.
You can also brush and braid Myla’s mane and style it with her crown and hairclips — she will even share her hair accessories with you! The real magic comes with the music. Sing a duet with Myla and her microphone. When you want to shine with your own solo, just pull the microphone away and Myla will stop singing but continue to play music.
Chiropractor Alberto Kim invented the dollop pillow. The pillow has a center cavity that cradles your head comfortably. It is designed to support your head and neck while taking the weight off your shoulders. This will allow you to breath better as it keeps critical air passages open.
This pillow is customizable by inserting up to two head blocks in the opening under the center cavity to find the best fit for your head shape. There is also a memory foam booster to elevate the pillow by an inch if necessary. This pillow looks a lot different than traditional pillows but it is really comfortable! I often have neck pain and I love how this pillow positions my head and takes the stress off my neck and shoulders. I put this under the “gifts for men” category but really, this is a great gift for any adult who could use a better night’s sleep! You can find out more here.
Dollar Shave Club — If your hubby/son/nephew prefers razors, a subscription to Dollar Shave Club would be a fantastic gift! Sodastream — Looking for something cool to gift your favorite guy? The Sodastream is the perfect gift! This small and sleek device doesn’t take up a lot of space but it offers a lot of value! Groove Ring — Groove Rings are a great option for those that feel naked without their wedding ring but may have a reason they aren’t able to wear a metal ring. Groove Rings are made from breathable silicone which means moisture can escape. They’re super comfortable because they flex and bend. They’re awesome for anyone with an active lifestyle. Whether you’re snorkeling/swimming, working in the yard, playing with kids or working out, Groove Rings are a great options. Priced at $29.95 to $39.95 their inexpensive enough to have replaced should you happen to lose one. Better yet, Groove will actually replace your ring for FREE if you lose it! SwaddleDesigns — Swaddle wraps were a lifesaver when my kids were babies. It’s one of my go-to gifts for new moms and SwaddleDesigns makes some of the cutest prints! The three pack pictured here is gender neutral and features tiny hedgehogs, tiny arrow and tiny triangle designs. These make swaddling super quick and easy!
Sleepsacks are another must-have since babies should not be put to bed with blankets. SwaddleDesigns as these too! Be sure to check out all the gift sets they have to offer — perfect for the holidays for any babies or moms-to-be on your holiday shopping list!
Cuddle + Kind Dolls —I can’t think of anything more adorable except perhaps the baby it’s intended for than a cuddle + kind doll. It’s the perfect gift for any newborn or toddler this Christmas. Instant Pot — The Instant Pot was a really hot item last Christmas but if anyone missed the boat on this one, it’s still a popular choice. I use mine several times a week and it really makes my busy life easier. Consider adding some accessories or cookbooks like The Big Book of Instant Pot Recipes (review here) or I Love My Instant Pot Affordable Meals Recipe Book (review here).

It’s small enough to fit in the palm of your hand and comes with a clip so it can be worn on your body. There is also a reinforced area for attaching to a keychain or lanyard.

Multi-colored LED lights and vibration will enable you to know your alert status during an emergency. This would make a great gift, especially for a woman who walks or runs alone. Tesalate Beach Towel — This Australian company makes unique beach towels with really cool prints. Sand will not stick to the fabric and though it’s lightweight and folds up to a compact size, it is very absorbent. AbsorbLite™ fabric can absorb at least 33oz of water and also dries rapidly in comparison to regular towels. Choose from standard size or “Towel for Two” an oversized version great for couples and families. It’s more versatile and can be used for yoga, picnics and other outdoor activities.
The fabric is very unique. I love the vibrant print of the Bohemian print and that it has a black and white pattern on the reverse side. I can’t wait to use mine this summer!

Lotus Trolley Bags — Until I tried Lotus Trolley Bags I thought bringing your own bags to the grocery store was actually kind of a pain in the butt. Lotus Trolley completely changed my standpoint after just one use. These bags not only help conserve resources making them a more eco-friendly choice but they make the chore of grocery shopping SO.MUCH.EASIER!
Everytime I go to the grocery store people stop me to ask me where I got them. This might be sort of an odd gift but believe me, the recipient will be so thankful after trying them for the first time!
The lightweight Lotus Trolley bags were designed to be strapped to the handle of the grocery cart with Velcro keeping them out of the way until needed. Healing Place Farm — Last year I received the most amazing gift box of natural products from Healing Place Farm. Many of the products are now favorites that I use on a daily basis. The owner, Polly Schellinger is a Registered Nurse, Board certified Holistic nurse and is fully educated in essential oils. Polly makes most of the products herself while Juliann, the marketing manager designs and creates the custom labels. Both women are mothers working from home. The Healing Place Farm is located in Wisconsin where locals can purchase the products at the open houses that are held at the farmhouse. Everyone else can shop online at thehealingplacefarm.com. My favorite product is the Pumpkin Salve. It is a lifesaver for my dry lips and cuticles! Hooligans products are a close second — they smell AMAZING. Canvas on Demand — Canvas on Demand is a go-to source for custom photo canvases but they offer so much more! The new “Custom Family Sayings” line of customizable art would make such a cool gift. They have the cutest stuff to choose from! I love the quality of their work, the unique items they offer and the ease of ordering. Seriously, it will be hard just to pick one item. Pod Pocket — This sleeve designed to fit over the Apple AirPod charging case is made of high grade silicone for a secure fit and comes with a premium key ring and clasp so it can be attached to a bag or keychain, keeping it handy at all times! The sleeve is open at the bottom for access to the charging port without having to remove it. PodPockets come in a variety of colors and makes a wonderful gift for those who already own a pair of Air Pods or a great accompanying gift for those that will be receiving a pair of Air Pods this Christmas! MyCharge— Anyone that uses electronic devices could use a MyCharge product! These portable power banks come in several designs. My personal favorites are the AdventureMax which can charge 2 devices simultaneously and provide a full charge up to 6 times and the MyCharge HubXtra which has charging cables built right in and can be recharged by plugging it directly into a wall outlet! Theo Chocolate — Theo Chocolate is a local Chocolatier based in Seattle. They’re something special — this is no ordinary chocolate. Now, you might find some of your favorite flavor combos but the quality and flavor will much likely be greater than what you’re used to. And if you’re looking for something unique, Theo Chocolate will not disappoint! Try the Taste of Washington Caramel Collection, Root Beer Barrel Bar, Lemon Chocolate Bar, Ginger, Cinnamon Horacha or Salted Black Licorice. 18 in 1 Snowflake Tool — This handy little tool looks like a snowflake. It’s just a little over 2″ in diameter and weighs just 2.3 ounces . Despite it’s small size, amazingly, it features 18 different tools in one. It comes with a metal ring that allows you to hang it up or attach it to something. It’s perfect to keep on your backpack, keyring or in your glove compartment in your car. It’s decorative enough to hang on your Christmas tree and makes a wonderful gift or stocking stuffer too!
